Terms of Use
These terms describe the scope and limitations of the calculators, technical guides and optional reports on Design Mix Concrete.
Preliminary engineering tools
Design Mix Concrete provides educational references and preliminary concrete proportioning tools. A calculated result is not a structural approval, material test certificate, code-compliance certificate or substitute for the responsible engineer, concrete technologist, producer, laboratory or project quality process.
Before construction use, users are responsible for verifying the standards and editions actually applicable to the project, project specifications, permitted constituent materials, laboratory or supplier data, trial-batch results and production controls.
Standards and technical references
The site discusses standards and guides including IS 10262, ACI PRC-211.1, EN 206, BS 8500 and DIN 1045-2. Those documents are issued by their respective standards or technical organisations. Design Mix Concrete is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a replacement for those organisations or their official publications.
Accuracy and changes
We aim to correct material calculation issues and outdated references when identified. Standards, national provisions and project practices change, so users should not rely on a page merely because it states an edition number. Where the website and a governing project document differ, the governing project document must be checked and followed.
Optional paid reports
A paid report is a formatted record generated from the calculation inputs associated with the order. Purchasing a report does not convert a preliminary calculation into an approved mixture or engineering certification. The separate Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to report purchases.
No warranty and limitation
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made that a preliminary result will be suitable for a particular construction project. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
