CONCRETE MIX DESIGN

EN 206 Concrete Mix Design Calculator

Calculate a transparent preliminary concrete mix to EN 206 — pick a strength class and an exposure class, and see the durability limiting values behind the mix, not just a final number. Then buy a detailed €4.99 calculation report for your files.

Build a mix you can actually check

Design Mix Concrete works through proportioning by the absolute-volume method and shows the calculation trail at each step. EN 206 does not prescribe one recipe for durability; instead it sets limiting values by exposure class — a maximum water-cement ratio, a minimum cement content, a minimum strength class and, where relevant, a minimum air content for freeze-thaw resistance. Results are preliminary: national annexes can be stricter, so always verify the current standard, the project specification, material tests and trial batches before use.

Frequently asked questions

What does EN 206 cover?

EN 206 is the European specification, performance, production and conformity standard for concrete. For durability it sets limiting values — maximum water-cement ratio, minimum cement content, minimum strength class and minimum air for freeze-thaw — against each exposure class. National annexes such as BS 8500 (UK) or DIN 1045-2 (Germany) can be stricter.

Is it free?

Yes. Design Mix Concrete is free to use and supported by advertising. The €4.99 report is optional.
