C20/25 Concrete Mix Design
C20/25 (characteristic cylinder/cube strength 20/25 N/mm²) is a lower, general-purpose strength class, commonly used for mass concrete, blinding and lightly loaded elements where high strength or aggressive exposure are not the governing requirement.
Typical exposure classes
C20/25 is often paired with mild exposure classes such as X0 or XC1 — unreinforced concrete with little or no risk of reinforcement corrosion, or reinforced concrete that stays permanently dry. It is not usually specified for aggressive chloride, freeze-thaw or chemical exposure, where a higher class and different durability limits would normally apply — see exposure classes and durability.
